About

Jane Hoashi, M.D.

Orthopedic Physician

Dr. Hoashi completed her undergraduate studies at Johns Hopkins University where she majored in Biology and Spanish Studies. She received her Master’s degree in Public Health (MPH) from Yale School of Public Health. A semester abroad in Spain and her passion for the Spanish language and culture led her to pursue a medical degree (MD) from the University of Navarre in Spain, followed by an orthopedic surgery residency at the Hospital General de Castellón. She then worked as an attending physician in orthopedic surgery at the Hospital General Universitario Dr. Balmis in Alicante. After nearly 15 years of living in Spain, she returned to the United States for fellowship training in pediatric spine surgery at Shriners Hospital in Philadelphia, followed by an adult spine surgery fellowship at New York University Hospital for Joint Diseases, and finally a pediatric orthopedic surgery fellowship at the Cleveland Clinic.

Trained by internationally renowned leaders in orthopedics, she was also exposed to the most complex cases. Dr. Hoashi’s focus has always been to optimize clinical outcomes and patient’s quality of life. Moreover, she has published numerous peer-reviewed articles in international journals and has authored textbook chapters in the realm of spine surgery. While recognizing the important role of surgery, Dr. Hoashi also saw the potential in regenerative medicine, and how the human body has an incredible capacity to heal itself. She pursued further education in regenerative medicine, as it applies to orthopedics as well as aesthetic medicine, and has dedicated the greater part of the last decade to helping patients achieve pain relief without surgery, and attain a better quality of life.

Dr. Hoashi is a member of the Ohio State Medical Association, Academy of Medicine of Cleveland and Northeast Ohio, and the American Academy of Facial Esthetics. Originally from Southern California, Dr. Hoashi has made the Cleveland area her home. She enjoys exploring Downtown Cleveland and going to shows at Playhouse Square. She loves travelling and yoga, and has been featured in local acro yoga performances.
